Maritime Montering Completes Refit for Sysselmester’s Vessel, POLARSYSSEL
Maritime Montering is pleased to announce the successful completion of a refit project for the vessel Polarsyssel, originally outfitted by our team at Tersan Havyard in 2014. This unique vessel, serving the Governor of Svalbard (Sysselmester), has been a trusted asset in the Arctic region, and the enduring quality of its accommodation reflects Maritime Montering’s commitment to excellence.
As part of a recent contract renewal with the Governor, Maritime Montering refreshed key areas onboard Polarsyssel, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics. Updates included a larger reception area to accommodate larger groups of visitors, creating a welcoming first impression upon entry. Additionally, an extra cabin was installed, replacing the former ship’s office and store, and worn wooden tabletops in the day and mess rooms were replaced with lighter, modern surfaces complemented by a freshly painted contrast wall.
The vessel, equipped to accommodate 43 persons and 60 SPS, continues to showcase the quality of Maritime Montering’s work from its original interior installation a decade ago. The Sysselmester has expressed satisfaction with the upgrades, and we at Maritime Montering are proud to contribute to the longevity and high standards of the Polarsyssel.
This project exemplifies our commitment to delivering outstanding, lasting solutions to our clients, and we are honored to support Polarsyssel in its mission in the high Arctic.
